**** NEW THIS YEAR: All participants will be required to donate $10 per dog to attend a training day. This is to cover the cost to gain access to properties for training. The training lead will instruct the best way to pay at the beginning of the training day (venmo or cash are preferred)
If you are planning to attend a training day, please fill out this survey at least a week prior to attending for each day at https://forms.gle/Y8cigSe7NHNvkJJG8. This is the only way that we can track participants and birds needed.

Wasatch Wing & Clay – https://maps.app.goo.gl/qmqwkzeC9i4QbnaY6 (40.369640, -112.040250)
Bear River Bottoms – https://maps.app.goo.gl/fxyAktPePYyBUzMr8 (41.66942,-112.11495)
Bird purchasing:
PLEASE BRING A BIRD BAG TO THE TRAINING DAYS – Due to feedback, this training season we plan to split up available birds at the beginning of the day. The club will attempt to have birds available for each training day. Numbers will be based on availability. Homing Pigeons will be $4 per bird rentals and all kill birds will be sold for cost.
What to bring:
Training days will be held rain or shine, so come prepared with appropriate clothing including a piece of orange clothing, bug spray, sunscreen, drinks, snacks, etc. The fields can be wet, so consider bringing waterproof boots and rain gear. Folding chairs, and a tarp or pop-up shelter are good additions to provide shade for you and your dog.
Bring plenty of water for your dog, along with whatever training gear you use. You’ll need a leash, check cord, e-collar (optional), whistle, and bird bag. Chapter members will have some equipment available like retrieving bumpers, blinds, decoys, duck winger, bird launchers and bird bags but personal training equipment can help supplement chapter gear. A crate or stake-out is recommended to keep your dog quiet and comfortable while waiting its turn to train.
Guidelines:
Please read through all of the guidelines that are outlined. Safety is important at all times on the grounds:
● For all sessions, we require all puppies to have received all of their puppy vaccinations (recommend 4 month+ of age) prior to attending this training.
● Youth must be accompanied by a guardian. Children cannot remain unsupervised during training days.
● Training days are open to all levels of dogs and handlers looking to observe or volunteer without a dog are welcome.

Wasatch Mountain NAVHDA Club Training Days take a lot of time, money and energy from club members to organize and assist with training days. Please support the club’s fund raising events and think about donating when attending training days so that we can keep providing them to members in the future.
